A roof with an array on it is still your job. The only part you need covered is the solar, and that is the only part we do.
We work with roofing contractors across Virginia and North Carolina on exactly this split: you quote and build the roof, we take the system down and put it back correctly.
How the split works
- You keep the roofing contract and the customer relationship
- We quote the homeowner separately for removal and reset, or bill through you, whichever you prefer
- We shut down, disconnect and remove the array before your crew mobilizes
- Panels and racking are stored safely on site for the duration of your work
- We reset the system once the new roof is complete, reflashing every penetration
- We recommission and test the system so the homeowner sees production restored
Why not have your crew do it
A live array is an electrical system on a roof. Handling it without solar training risks cracked modules, voided equipment warranties, damaged optimizers and a system that will not come back online.
It also puts the callback on you. When the solar work sits with a solar company, the accountability is clean: your roof, our array.
Scheduling
We plan around your dates, not the other way around. If your schedule slips because of weather or decking repairs, we move the reset without leaving panels exposed.
For urgent situations, including active leaks under an array, we provide service within 24 hours.
